Anya Meidell

Internal Communication and Culture Coordinator

Q: Describe a typical day in your role?
A: “I always start with a coffee/hot drink and a chit-chat with colleagues to ease myself in. Then my day will flow between the role of culture and certain things within internal operations. That involves responding to emails, finding solutions to specific problems, advancing projects, meetings, and learning within different areas while also reading up on the latest articles when it comes to mental health, improving productivity, engagement, or happiness in the workplace. I also appreciate spending time with colleagues when anyone, including me, needs to let off some steam if the pressure rises.”

Q: Describe your reaction when you see a MindMaze patient testimonial?
A: “They make me quite emotional. It’s vital for me to work in a place that brings positive change to the world or is working in that direction. Shifting people’s lives for the better through technology is so incredibly inspiring. People seem able to take control over their lives again, and that means not being so dependent on loved ones, embracing your kids or partner again, being able to do the work they love and so much more. That feeling is powerful.”

Q: MindMaze is unique because…?
A: “…of its people. Importantly, we all have diverse backgrounds, educations, and niche hobbies or interests. Conversations never lack and benevolence is at the center of everything. We care about what we do and each other deeply.”

Q: What’s your slogan for life?
A: “This is a hard one but if I had to choose something it would be: “Live day by day, do what you fear, explore, breathe deep, and enjoy the ride.”

Q: Where is your top holiday destination and why?
A: “A completely random adventure in a place I’ve never been – nature and road-tripping involved – and with a trip to a festival would be the cherry on top! My latest personal wishes are solo backpacking in Albania or Turkey to really discover the niche cultures of those countries. I just came back from a road trip in Portugal. That was fun. On the list as well are South Korea and Japan.”

Q: How do you take your coffee?
A: “If it’s great, delicate beans that are naturally processed, it has to be V60. If not, I’ll take a flat white. I can also take a black from the MindMaze coffee machine, at times with sparkling water.”
